Curious about thoughts of adding just sway bars, without the lowering springs. I have to go over speed bumps coming in to base everyday, and not sure if I would want to lower it.
My s550 lowered is higher up than my s197 with brembo package.

You'll be just fine

No speed bump issues at all here; I've been over a variety of them. If anything, the extra stiffness prevents the rebound that could cause contact otherwise. I don't go over speedbumps fast, though...:gossip:

I'm running at 34/35 warm and it was about 65F that day.

The corner is one that is a 90 degree turn that is slightly off-camber and I expected a little bit of a slide. In my Z51 I can hit that turn about 65 and get just a little bit of a slide, but not a full rotation. That's what I was hoping for with this car, but I think I have to play with the bar settings a bit more so it's not so tail happy.

But again, it could also be in part the tires since my last 4 cars have had Pilot Super Sport and they are pretty good about not just letting go fully if you're not mashing on the gas. The Pirelli's didn't give me any signs before "Hey, see that ditch and guard rail that was to your right? It's now in front of you and the guy in the Nissan that was trying to follow you is crapping his pants!"

:D

My point is just to be safe while learning the new limits of the car with the mods.
Your point about learning new limits with the mods is well taken. I'm still paying close attention, but my confidence in my car's abilities has gone way up. Before the mods and before I had many miles on the car/tires I had a similar episode to yours on a turn at speed where the rear got out and stability control stepped in (Yikes!). None since, but I'm paying close attention.

BTW, how many miles on your car/Pirellis? They do take a while to break in as I'm sure you know.

Higher where? Underneath the car?
Higher as far as scraping the bottom goes. My '12 with brembo scraped on the parking bumpers and curbs when parking and that's not an issue now.

This is good to hear, I can't wait to drive my car with my steeda setup. I thought the car was pretty amazing just driving the 15 stock those 70 miles when I bought the car.

+1

I've got 4,2xx miles on them already. I think I broke them in on the first week. :)

BMR indicates the stock front is 12.5ish lbs, not sure if that's a PP or base sway tho.
I just got home and weighed the stock units on the same scale as I did the Steeda units.

Front: 14 pounds

Rear: 7 pounds

That's with the bushings and brackets and PP parts

My Steeda Handling Package - front and rear sway bars plus sport springs.
Looks great, rides like stock and handles like it's on rails. An amazing ride.
If you are on the fence about adding this mod - just go ahead & do it!

I have a set of these bars coming in today, looking forward to them after reading all of the comments. Going to start in the midrange setting and see how it feels.
