Some good info before I put my ultralites on but honestly, if you've ever put on a set of springs some of this seems a little bit common sense if it's not seating right. If the instructions were labeled wrong then I can see where the confusion would be but you still have to have use some common sense.

When you installed your Ultralites, did the spring seat correctly on the top when you did it according to the instructions? I had to turn mine upside down to get them to seat as shown in the pictures (with 3/4 of the coil wrapped around the upper mount). They simply wouldn't fit correctly when I tried to install them with the larger diameter coil at the top. Now I don't know if they're upside down or not... I contacted Steeda and was told that I should reinstall them with the larger diameter coil on top, but when I tried that, the coil only wraps around 1/4 of the way, which is wrong according to the instructions...

When you put some weight on them, like let the car down, you'll see that it is right. If you put the larger coil on the bottom, it slips off the perch.

Ok so...I was this close to pulling the trigger on the Steeda set up. After reading this entire thread. NOT DOING IT! I'll be waiting for better product and instructions. More choices! They will be coming. I only want to do this once. That is total B.S. What some of you guys have had to go through. IMHO...I'm just an average Mustang consumer, not a Racing Performance Mechanic or Tech. It shouldn't be that difficult for bolt ons.

I understand your concern but there really is no issue here. Could the directions be a little better, yes. Is it a deal changer, no. They only fit correctly one way. If someone can't tell what way the spring goes correctly then perhaps they should not be attempting the install themselves.

Springs are springs. Doesn't matter what company you get them from they only fit correctly ONE way.

Just my 2¢

TorkN8R... I was very concerned about this as well. That's why I took my new Steeda Progressive Springs to a pro performance shop and had them install them. Here's he after pics taken today... The driveway one is uphill so it may not appear lowered in the front as much. The other pic is of it in the street.

It will be your loss. I bet they have sold well over 500 sets, if not close to 1000 sets of the springs for the 2015.

It isn't this tough for boltons. They fit one way and one way only.

Picture for attention. My Steeda setup, carving up the Tail of the Dragon.
