BBB, once you set it back on the ground it will be covered.

FWIW, my Eibach's on my SN95 made noise from what I remember.

We did that. Just noises really. Of course, the alignment can technically be skewed a little when the seat is disturbed between the upper and lower mounts.
Kelly, you have pics of the FUBAR'd mount?

How does something like that even happen? Dropping the part during installation or something?

Re-Using too many times and beating the piss out of them.

These are original mounts that have been on and off approx 20 times, and beat on very aggressively with serious wheels and tires. ;)

What are the exact proper procedures and tools for torquing the upper strut bolt and when should that occur?

I'm going to pull it apart and do it again.

This is what I'm going to do. I'll pull it off, decompress the springs, pull it apart, inspect possibly replace bearing cup, put assembly back together, right side up and torque it down, and remount, both sides. Torque everything down. I have new hardware (bolts, nuts) to remount. Road test on rough roads.

Need to find a good shop in NorCal that I can trust for an alignment etc.

Please pardon my ignorance on this subject but something I have really been wondering about is how much this spring swap changes the handling of the car. Will this modification rival the handling of a PP car or is that simply too much to ask? I am not new at all to working in cars, just new to modifying to gain performance. I absolutley Love the way these Steeda springs make the car look.

The progressives springs out handle the factory PP springs. Much better ride, too.

I agree with Todd15Fastback, and if you want to push the handeling performance envelope up one more notch, add in the Steeda adjustable sway bars. I can confirm they perform majic when teamed up with their progressives.

So, I was one with these springs complaining about front noise. It was the sway bar end links. I had aftermarket on and went back to factory and eliminated the rattle I had. I'd like to give a big shout of thanks to David and Mike at Steeda for helping me through diagnosis. I'm in NorCal and wish I could just visit them but that's not going to happen anytime soon. The sway bar end links can be noisy little Mofos moving under 25 mph on rough patches.

My springs are touching, I have the marks. This was not the noise in my car. Was going to switch to the ultra lights but not now. Very very very very happy with car handling as is.

Love it!

PS. The continental DW 06 all season are outstanding in wet weather.
