Hey guys,

Did a bunch of part installs yesterday and ran into a little issue. While installing the front insert, I stripped the threads that hold the insert inside the OE bushing. The smaller bolt that goes through the Diff into the OE bushing is just fine as I was able to get the torque wrench on that one. The one that I messed up i was just using a wrench to tighten and apparently I'm not good at guessing 129 foot pounds!

Here is my question... While looking around at options I noticed that BMR has a differential bushing kit has a bolt that goes all the way through and a nut on the back side of the differential tabs as shown in their pictures.

I'm thinking about just drilling out the rest of the threads in the OE bushing and getting a M14x2 110MM 10.9 bolt and Nut and doing the same as BMR and several other kits have done vs replacing the bushings.

What are you guys thoughts?

Drill baby drill.

I have had Steedas kit sitting on my shelf for months now. Before I install it I will be installing it with the BMR bolts.

I actually found another post where guys with early 2015 cars have bushings that are only threaded half way!

How are you going to get the BMR hardware? I thought about just calling them and asking if they would sell it to me vs me trying to hunt around for it.

I was going to call.

Call Kelly at BMR, he knows it all.

The front two shortest bolts get torqued to only 41ft/lbs
This is stated in the instructions.
pm me your contact info to go over other solutions.

Thanks,
