I just installed a steeda clutch spring and perch and now my clutch has a little bit of play just before engagement. Is that just how it is or is something else wrong? I got it to feel less spongey and now it feels more spongey

Is the spring seated correctly? When I replaced the factory spring with Steeda’s, there was more linear engagement feel.

i just double checked it, everything looks correct but for some reason the pedal has some play right at the top

You’ll need to slightly stretch the Steeda spring to eliminate the free play.
I have a post about this way back in 2018-19 and how much to stretch the spring.

I thinks that’s the exact issue, it feels like the pedal isn’t coming all the way up as well. Thanks for the help
