I agree, it was initially a question to "Menace" asking him to chime in on why his was removed. I wasn't implying it was an answer to a hood fitment issue. I for one would double check that the air box was seated properly first before contemplating on whether I would trim the top edge of the air box.
I agree with you, differently shouldn't have to modify anything under the hood to make it fit. For the record i did see your original posting, i just didn't respond because i have no clue why he did it.
Took a look at it today with the aid of day light... unbolted it and reinstalled... fits like a glove now. Not sure what the issue was from the night before but it was absolutely due to my installation error.

Joe, so sorry I offended you by wanting a nice looking CAI. Yeah, I want a nice looking engine bay and don't appreciate your laughing about my comment. You need to do your homework and look at the many forums out there talking about HP gains for a non tune CAI. 2-3.HP tops. Steeda has not reinvented the wheel no matter what their dyno sheets say.

Whatever you say buddy , didn't know grown men (maybe you're a little boy) were so sensitive.

Stick to the topic bud. There is more than one thread on this forum that says the CAI without tune does basically nothing. Keep drinking the cool aid though. This is how companies make big money. Did Steeda run your dyno numbers for you? (lol)

And there's more then enough that prove YOURE wrong, but I guess since you want a cute one facts don't matter as much.

Lol, they sure did. Steeda's #1 spokesperson is on a personal mission to make sure everyone on the forum runs a Steeda intake...cause they're the bestest:lol:

Why the need for comments like this? There are plenty of CAI options out there, you certainly don't have to run a Steeda. Just like other brands receive praise from happy customers, Steeda is entitled to receiving the same praise from their customers.

Because your customer is spewing comments like they're fact and he's putting down people that DARE question your results. IMO, until 3rd party results are in, your results should be taken lightly.

I've already stated that I think your intake looks like a very nice piece and it's not out of the question that one would find its way on my car.
Go run your Airaid CAI and be happy.
Lol, ok. Now I'm gonna go post everywhere I can that Airaid is the best and how dare anyone question my results!

My post put him down? reading comprehension must not be your thing, he said theres a bunch of threads that prove no tune equates to 1-3 HP. I replied back with, and theres a bunch of threads that prove otherwise. So tell me when did i put him down? i said i thought it was stupid that he would shop for a CAI because of looks instead of performance, which i stand behind that statement. I don't care if you get a JLT, Roush, Airaid etc. Buy something because it works not because it looks cute under your hood, case closed....
