I just received a call from SW - they refund the money.

They also asked me to tell a small part of the story I left out before. The day I had my appointment at their shop they actually drove to my dealer to pick up the brace.

Thanks everybody for the advice!

Now I am really curious what is different on the underside of the vert to make exhausts not fit the same.
The vert has a stabilizing brace - that's all ...

SW had the worst customer service of any business. Plenty of ppl here that can't get a hold of those guys. Fortunately your within driving distance, go raise hell on behalf of all of us.

OK ... I'm sorry to rant but I hope I can prevent some of you guys to make the same mistake I made.

Recap:

- I ordered a '15 GT convertible in 09/14
- Based on good reviews and some emails with SW I ordered a catback system in 11/14 from Beef
- I took delivery of my car 12/17/14
- By that time the car arrived the exhaust was already at the dealership and they did install it first thing
- Unfortunately the SW exhaust DOES NOT fit the convertible
- My dealer talked to SW and they suggested that I contacted them
- I called SW the very next day and they offered to take care of the issue the following day (I'm 30 minutes away from them)
- It was supposed to be a quick 1 hour fix - I spent the whole day they and my Stang looks like sh*t ever since. (People actually pulled me over told me that there's something wrong underneath my car)
- SW promised to fix AND NOTHING HAPPEND
- I called them like 100 times and was promised a call back every time - but never got a single one
- As of today they still don't now how to fix it and they're too busy to even take a look at it
- I got Beef involved a couple times but he plays the same 'I just don't call and the problem goes away' game, too now


And the worst part of it - Beef doesn't even want to take the exhaust back. It's unfortunate ... it wasn't tested ... nobody could now ... and all the spiel.

Guess what? I didn't know either! And that's why I trusted so called professionals.

I think I'll get help from another professional - my attorney!

Summary: take your money elsewhere!
There is some information missing.

First off, I never avoid phone calls, I always answer the phone, and I always try to take care of the customer. If I don't answer the phone, I call back rather quickly. Anytime Patrick has called, I get right on the phone and call George. I talked to him today, immediately called George, and George said he would be calling him.

There is much more to the story, and I wish Patrick would tell it. The most important thing on my end is that the exhaust was ran on the car and drove after removing the brace before anyone was ever contacted.

If it didn't fit, it should never have been ran on the car. The install should have stopped, and the exhaust boxed back up.

I'm not going to get into a big spouting thing, but I think that is something that is very important to be noted.

I know we all get anxious, and live in a "right now" world.

A simple call at that point. Hey, I'm having it installed and it's not fitting, what should we do. Pull it off and lets find out whats going on?

I believe George from SW then drove like an hour and a half the next day, getting Patrick, driving to the dealership, getting the brace, and then getting his car back from the house, then going to sw and working on the car so that the brace could be on the car, but not hitting.

R&D takes time, and I know with the weather breaking, they were going to get the car back in. Yesterday is literally the first day since the snow broke here in ohio, and George said as soon as the current r&d projects are out of the shop, the car was going to go in to work on a convertible exhaust.

Sorry - that's not true. My dealer installed the exhaust and the second they found out it doesn't fit they called SW and were told to continue! They asked for pictures to make stand-offs. I offered to take a day off to go there in person.

I cannot speak as to what SW said or didn't say.

I know I was contacted the day after, and that the exhaust had been ran on the car.

I know I have always answered every email, and I've answered every call. I make myself available from 8am to 10pm seven days a week.

I told you do not hesitate to call me. When you called today, I called George immediately and he said he was going to call you. I know there are virtually no exhausts that will fit the convertibles, and they want to get your car in to r&d for one.

I personally wish you'd be patient and let them make the exhaust. Then not only you, but other convertible owners will have another option other than the Ford Racing.

Wow....Terry is a standup guy and vendor. I have nothing but high praise for him. He does make himself available all the time.

I had a problem with one of the tips on my Roush Axle Backs . Terry immediately made sure I was taken care of . For me I had excellent service my replacement was even sent next day air . I wanted to add this .

:kickrock:Just stumbled across this, but I can completely agree. He has always been awesome with helping me out and taking good care of me. Always replies to messages very quickly. It's for these reasons I will continue to buy from him.

Still, sorry to hear about your exhaust troubles. Finding out a part doesn't fit when you've gotten that far into the install sucks.

I agree Terry gives outstand service. I had a problem with my SCT shipping and he was able to track it down and found out the post service never delivered it, then I had a problem with the Lund tune file and he got a corrected file sent within 5 minutes. Don't know much other companies that can do that.

I don't even think it's debatable whether Beef provides great service to forum members. From what I can tell, we're fortunate in that most of the vendors/manufacturers who frequent the forums appear to be on top of their game and take care of their customers. I just find it disappointing when a company like SW is here initially to hype the shit out of their product, but then go MIA and leave vendors such as Beef on their own to handle questions/issues/complaints afterwards.

While this relationship may be too far gone, any chance they can work a deal with him being the test car and get an exhaust at a heavy discount or even free?
