Well, "base" would be 18Oh ok I just always wondered how everyone knew what they were running. What do you have set for timing on the PC tune?
When ever I run mine at the track or on the dyno with good 93 shell I add Lucas octane booster , my tuner uses it's and said it a good way to keep you out of trouble ...When I put mine on the dyno I'll make sure I either put in a couple gallons of 100oct or some additive. What additive is recommended that can be found locally to raise octane? Want to make sure bad fuel isn't a factor.
No they will not damage the car .. They will not make anymore HP either but it will keep you out of spark knock .. I just use it for insurance ... You never know if you get a bad tank of fuel , better to be safe than sorry ..Nice so octane boosters won't damage the car?
Yes I get that ... From me I get no extra power because we have great 93 here .. I'm on e85 now so no need for anything now ..Octane booster will make more power if you get shitty 91 like here in CA. Will get you more timing, and more power.
If I move back to Marysville calif I would have to deal with that 91 crap ..YupCool so when it says 4.0 it's removing 4 degrees and when it says -4.0 it's adding 4 degrees?
He is right, that stuff actually works well. When ever I run mine at the track or on the dyno with good 93 shell I add Lucas octane booster , my tuner uses it's and said it a good way to keep you out of trouble ...
Your gas and ours right now is equal crap-o-laOctane booster will make more power if you get shitty 91 like here in CA. Will get you more timing, and more power.
Octanium brother some of the best stuff out their and have logs for proof.Running octanium on my race tune one bottle mixed with 12 gallons of fuel took my timing from 18 degrees to 21 to 21.5 degrees of timing, and you could feel the difference in the car. When I put mine on the dyno I'll make sure I either put in a couple gallons of 100oct or some additive. Yea I bet! Where doesn't one get that locally?Octanium brother some of the best stuff out their and have logs for proof.Running octanium on my race tune one bottle mixed with 12 gallons of fuel took my timing from 18 degrees to 21 to 21.5 degrees of timing, and you could feel the difference in the car.
