So I got a SR Performance Spacer for the bae. I searched the web for a while and while I found a few positive reviews, mostly said the spacer was useless.

Although I didn't really feel any gains as far as torque down low as some people claim, my MPG did actually go up about 1-2mpg.

And for some reason, it made my shifting better?.... Before the spacer was in, going from 1st to 2nd gear would give a little bit of wheel spin, but it felt like the car would not give it "full power" going into second gear, and would hold itself back a little. I don't really know why, but after putting the spacer in and doing a few test drives, the car no longer does it... it goes in "full power" from 1st to 2nd. The shifting feels smoother and more precise too... I'm pretty sure it's no placebo effect here either. My friend on the passenger seat thought I did something to the car's transmission, and he didn't know about the little mod.

Here is the item: http://www.americanmuscle.com/sr-throttle-body-spacer-1114v6.html

As far as my experience with it, I would recommend it as a easy inexpensive mod...

It is necessary because the high rpms causes oil to be sucked through the intake and causing issues with rough idle.

Ive had one since the first month I have had the car, the amount of oil that has ended up in the catch can speaks for itself after 7500 miles. I have emptied a cup at least out of it in that time frame, idk about you but I dont want that going into my intake and gumming it up.

Any Idea to where I can find the "SK Spacer"? I seen a few people with it on their mods list, unable to track it down. I am planning on getting the SR one and having a buddy of mine cnc machine it to 73mm to match the bbk TB

I would argue that the spacer is worthless. I would have to see dyno numbers to change my mind

Yeah it's always a 50/50 crowd saying the spacer does something or nothing. For $100 I would put my money elsewhere.
