Here's my x-pipe with stock mufflers video:
Definitely sounds louder at idle but not revving.

If you were to cut away one of the mufflers you will see there are very restrictive with multiple pipes and chambers. Virtually anything aftermarket will be louder. I picked up a set of slp lm2 axle-backs. They are basically the Roush but with packing inside. I Haven't had they installed yet, and there are no v6 videos out there. But comparing the two in GT videos, the difference is obvious. They are noticeably quieter but also much smoother sounding, with absolutely no rasp. Haven't heard them with an x-pipe though.

Guys I'm really confused since I installed the x-pipe, I need to change the mufflers to get a better sound but my problem is that I don't wanna get too loud mufflers to pair with the x-pipe and don't want drone, so plzzzz I need your advice about KIND OF loud mufflers (with the x-pipe) with no drone.

Look into having some magnaflow 4x9x14 mufflers installed. I have them on mine. Deep tone, and even without cats...theres hardly any drone at all...and when theres drone, its below 2,000, which means on the frwy, its very very quiet

Im thinking of givibg the sr pipe a try, my generic, stamped steel x pipe rsttles at certain rpm and sounds terrible. The exhaust note is great, but that rattle ruins it. My car is also a bit quiet for my tastes, im running 18" resonators...but without cats. Its too quiet for me....so im hoping the sr pipe, without resonators will get rid of the rattle, and get me the volume i want. Cant beat the price, thats for sure. Only bummer is, i cut my exhaust when i put my flownaster x on it, so im gunna need to weld some of the pipe back in, since the sr is a little shorter

Probably be a little louder. Certainly a decent option. Wont be "loud" but should get you a little more volume without drone

I don't think its a very good move actually. You could just find some aftermarket mufflers and it might do better. OEM mufflers are pretty restrictive after all.

I put 2013 Mustang GT mufflers on my 2010 4.0L and really thought it sounded good. I was interested in hearing what this 3.7L sounded like with OEM GT mufflers, since they're pretty easy to come across with many GT owners replacing their mufflers. But I haven't been able to find a video of that.

I thought the 4.0L sounded good with no muffler, honestly.

Guys please help!
Everybody is telling me a different thing.

So again: I installed an x-pipe on my V6 but the sound wasn't that different, so now I need to change my stock mufflers to pair with the x-pipe.

So WHAT IS MY BEST OPTION HERE?
Should I install the GT stock mufflers or go for aftermarket???

I just need a deeper tone with no drone

PLLLEEEAAASSSE HELP!

Maybe a deepish tone then
To my understanding that axle back system with a deep tone are all kinda droney. Magnaflow and flowmasters have some drones but some people get used to it while others just couldn't take it at all. These two are kinda the one with the deepest tone. However flowmaster + x pipe is quite raspy tho. You can check out the video in the exhaust sound clip thread

GT mufflers will provide you with that deep tone and no drone but will be quiet. Not as quiet as the stock exhaust but will still be quiet. Aftermarket will provide you with a louder and deeper tone but there is a chance for drone.

Any specific brand or model number?
