Squealing sound when braking?

I did an internet search and couldn't find a TSB for the brake squeal. I checked multiple sources that included owner.ford.com. It could be that it hasn't been released yet to the public, but I do hope they have found a fix for this and get something out to us. I have really enjoyed the car, but the squeal sure is embarrassing.

Mine also has the brake squeal. It used to be just the first few times when cold/wet. It has gotten worse, any low speed light brake application will make the noise. It has to be a pad issue as my brembo 13 GT never did this and I'm pretty sure that is considered a performance brake setup. Car is at 2,2xx miles so far.

It's more than just the brake pads. They replaced my pads and it still did it. I actually hate taking my car places thinking of how shitty it sounds when I brake. I hope FordService is reading these comments and passing all these complaints along. Ugh :frusty:

I don't recall hearing a squeal from the rear. Can you describe better? Is it loud?

Called McCoy-Mills Ford and was told that fix should be here by mid-February.

You could always switch to a quieter brake pad, but your braking performance will suffer.

It's not the brake pads. Joe Green called me back today and said the repair will be new pads and rotors. But not the original OEM.

Called McCoy-Mills Ford and was told that fix should be here by mid-February.

Joe Green called me himself today to tell me the same thing. He said he will be trying the new brake assembly (rotors and pads) on a couple of cars before the TSB is even released. I'm really impressed , and I am not even a customer - and not even close to his location. I am at my local dealership getting my alarm sensitivity adjusted, so while here I filled my service manager in...

I strongly recommend getting the rotors and pads replaced. Mine were replaced, both front and back and no brake noise since-three weeks.

Brakes still squeal-free, I hope? ;)

Still squealing here. I havent called my dealer yet though as i'm waiting for the mid-feb fix. Any recent word? Been following the thread from the beginning.
