My 17 GT PP with the Brembos just started grinding after 1600 miles. If they were squeaky id be cool with that because every sports car with high performance brakes does it. Unfortunately, the sound coming from mine is a grinding. Kinda sounds like no brake pad is there. Its not an awful sound but it definitely doesn't sound right. Starting to get concerned with my GT. I feel like every day it manages to produce some new sound, rattle or drivetrain issue. This is my first Mustang. Drove a Honda for 20 years so definitely not used to these kinds of problems.
Has it rained recently pups just be slight rustvforbagion from moisture and lack of use. ? 1600 miles .. do you just look at it ? take it out and get the brakes warmed up. Better yet google 'brake pad bedding'. Lots of write ups and instructions from performance brake companies that outline how to do it. Hondas are designed to get groceries your mustang has 15" brembos there's a difference.

I would understand the rust thing if it did it every time i hit the brakes but it literally only does it in the middle of the day around lunch time. I just got the car at the end of February and have been driving it a lot, so no, i dont just look at it lol. Im gonna check out brake pad bedding so thanks for that.

Damn, so this bedding procedure should have been done when i bought the car? I had no idea and of course nobody told me. I would think that this was done at the factory. I think those bedding procedures are for after market installs. Anyway, ive already gone almost 2000 so its too late now.

So the TSB only covers '15 GTs and EB-PPs? So my '17 EB-PP is outa luck then, bummer. This is how my brakes sound with the windows down most mornings these past few weeks, rain or shine. I've never heard brakes like this on any car, or a new one at that. I've had mine since August last year and it never made noises like this until at least February. And tonight, it made a hellish screeching squeal from hell when I was lightly coming to a stop. And it's been doing it more often than not whether it's early in the morning or driving around town when the discs should be warmed up and surface rust should be gone if any is there.

This was from Friday morning. I'm taking mine in tomorrow morning for other things but I'm definitely going to mention it.

Have you taken it back to the dealer? No way in hell i could deal with that. If my 17 GT PP starts doing that and its something im told its just the way it is then ill trade it. That shit is embarrassing if you have a woman in the car or anyone else for that matter.

I have a 15GT PP, and I've noticed my front breaks squealing a bit which is a big pet peeve of mine. It sounds like what I'm reading here is that with the Brembo brakes that is just something you have to deal with? I didn't hear a thing for the first month I drove it. I bought in in late September of last fall. I then started hearing it, and then once the cold weather set in, I didn't. I was ready to take it to my mechanic when it stopped. A couple weeks ago, when the weather warmed up a bit, I started hearing it again. Drive me nuts! Is there anything I can do?
