Has it rained recently pups just be slight rustvforbagion from moisture and lack of use. ? 1600 miles .. do you just look at it ? take it out and get the brakes warmed up. Better yet google 'brake pad bedding'. Lots of write ups and instructions from performance brake companies that outline how to do it. Hondas are designed to get groceries your mustang has 15" brembos there's a difference. My 17 GT PP with the Brembos just started grinding after 1600 miles. If they were squeaky id be cool with that because every sports car with high performance brakes does it. Unfortunately, the sound coming from mine is a grinding. Kinda sounds like no brake pad is there. Its not an awful sound but it definitely doesn't sound right. Starting to get concerned with my GT. I feel like every day it manages to produce some new sound, rattle or drivetrain issue. This is my first Mustang. Drove a Honda for 20 years so definitely not used to these kinds of problems.
