My goal for my car from the start was to have a good all around street, strip and track car. I know being good in all means it's not gonna be great in any and I'm ok with that. I was leaning toward the ford racing street springs due to how well they would compliment the rest of my pp car. Then I was leaning towards the bmr handling springs but wasn't sure if I like the rake look but after looking at some cars it is growing on me. When I talked to the shop who will be installing the springs, axles and IRS goodies he told me to go with the bmr drag springs. He said that the bmr drag springs would handle better on the street than my stock pp springs and give me the ability to cut a awesome 60ft. Like I said above I'd like to be good at all three but street is highest priority than strip and track the lowest. Any sugestions or comments are welcomed. Thanks!

BMR Performance, SP080, or SP089/SP082 if you want the front just a little higher.

The performance springs are the BMR all around springs. I have the handling springs and love them but they are quite stiff.

BMR SP089 front performance springs and BMR SP088 rear drag springs! Perfect height, not to low! Didn't want an inch or better drop! Looks great and launches amazing!!!

Put BMR minimum drop performance on mine and the drop is just enough with a subtle rake. If anything the rake makes the car visually level instead of the front sitting higher than the rear.

I've got Steeda progressives and they handle great. I would look at doing some aftermarket struts and shocks if it already hasn't been done. This is especially true since you are paying for labor. Wouldn't want to do it twice. I'd get st least the struts. Shocks are easy and take 10 minutes to do that can wait and save yourself a labor charge.

True! Any recommendations?

From everything I read they sound like the best option for me as far as performance and ride. I'm just wishing the drop was a little more in the back but like I said the rake look is growing on me.

I think once you see the 0.5" drop in person it may change your mind. There are also handling benefits to not dropping the rear so much.

I've got the non adjustable Koni orange. I don't ever plan to track or race. Huge improvement over stock. Picked up the Steeda shock mounts as well. But any option is vastly better than stock. Steeda is running a July 4th sale on all their stuff right now. So their adjustable and non adjustable will be on sale.

So, what makes the BMR drag springs, drag springs? Are they softer and allow more squat?

Stiffer actually. You want the weight transfer but not the geometric change that comes from lots of squat. You gain camber as you squat...bad for launching. The drag springs are stiffer in the rear but not so stiff that you can't use the OEM PP shocks or have a setup that's too stiff for DD use. I have the handling rear springs and it's still compliant enough to DD.

Yup, drag spring is stiffer rear but softer front compared to the performance springs which is best DD spring. Here's all 3 rates front/rear. Performance 170/740, Handling 300/980 and Drag 150/800. The shop doing the install is suggesting going with the drag set. I'm thinking the performance set would be best for my kind of driving. Can anyone chime in on how well the drag setup does on street with some spirited driving?
