2016 V6 Mustang, Stock springs for now, possible min drops later. The car will not be tracked, I am basically just trying to get rid of the floating feeling. I understand that the Ford Performance Track shock and strut kit is highly regarded here but in conversation with American Muscle I was being pushed towards the Koni Orange. The pricing is close, a non issue. Thoughts/opinions between the both please!

Vicr,

Thanks for the reply. I have searched and have found nothing on the Koni Orange. I would like more information on that. I also mentioned that I know that the Ford product is highly regarded on this forum so I did do a lot of reading on that system as well. Most that seem to have used it seem to track it at some level. I am not tracking and do have the V6. Curious if it is over kill for just removing the float

I admit that I have no direct experience with either, but I’d follow the advice here and get the Ford track pack. I’ve never heard of the koni srt line being well regarded. I always assumed that they’re competitors for bilstein b4. Why stray from a known good?

edit:
I ultimately went with the bilstein b6 and bmr handling spring combo, but was heavily debating about getting the track pack. Koni oranges weren’t on my radar

Bilsteins will rid your car of the floaty feeling for sure. Use these with OEM or the available minimum drop springs. Dive into FRPP Track dampers for 200/800ish or over in spring rate, or over a 1” drop.
