So I'm trying to install my eibach pro springs tonight before I go into work tomorrow and have run into a snag. I'm I've already installed the front driver side spring and am working on the front passenger side now, the issue is those damn splined bolts, I can't seem to get them out, I'm right handed and the way the bolts are I have to either awkwardly try swing backwards with my right hand or swing with no control using my left. Dies anyone have any tips on getting those pos bolts out? Of course the cj install video shows then coming out super easy -___-

When I did mine I was real happy to be on a lift, as I had to move under the car to change angle on the swing. You have to beat the unholy piss out of the bolt, no real other option.

Try one of these:

It's a ball joint tool. You can use it to separate brake anchor bolts.

I wish I had access to a lift, I have been beating the crap out of it for forever, it finally came out at the expense of having up the end of the bolt that I've been hitting, and I've jacked up the nut in the process of trying to forcefully remove it, so it's pretty much shot. Ricky, I was wondering if anything like that existed as it seemed like a logical method to remove it however I had no idea what it would be called.

So my next question, since one of the two bolts is shot, is there a temporary fix I can use in place of that bolt? And where might I by chance be able to get another one?

That's a chassis bolt and you're going to want to replace it with a chassis bolt. Those are usually hardened. I wonder if since it was so difficult to come out if maybe there was still weight or pressure on the connection.
My local parts store has a HELP section with little bolts and clips and you might find one there. Otherwise head back to the dealer for one.

Thanks again for all the suggestions guys, I'm going to have to find out the past number for the chassis bolt and likely order them through Ford parts. Is there any harm in only swapping the front springs and keeping the rears stock? I kinda like the look of it with just the front lowered. (That and the front was such a pita, although if iirc, the rears I don't have to deal with any splined bolts and I don't think the rears need a showing compressor). So now that I the front springs installed and have driven, it seems like that I can feel more bumps and it kinda makes louder noises (specifically driver side) when going over very rough pavement. Just trying to see if this is normal.

Theres no harm in it. Obviously just take it easy in the meantime but the only real issue would be different spring rate and heights in the front and rear which may make it handle weird.
