Can the rears be done without dropping the cradle? After installing the lockout kit and the battle I had with it I'd rather not even think about removing the cradle if possible.
Yes, the standard BMR instructions say how. But it is much harder and longer than just dropping the cradle.

Lowering the cradle is definitely the easier way.

The only reason I chose to follow Ford's service manual was because of alignment.

Lowering the cradle down and installing a stiffer spring will usually cause a shift of the rear IRS.

I know, most people get alignments done shortly after, but shifting the cradle "can" cause extremely erratic vehicle behavior and extremely premature tire wear - and some people do not get alignments performed until it is too late. I don't want to be the bad guy. lol

I just lower the cradle, personally. But I always ensure my car is aligned immediately afterwards.
