My US sourced car has no UK mapping, so Tom-tom or Google Maps is required.
But have you for the Sat Nav on the Sync 3? cause if you have you could go to the same place as I will be going.
Of course if you dont have the Sat Nav then you cant do it

Can this not be resolved by replacing the SD card with a UK one? Obv I'm expecting it not to be that simple :)
My Touch (sync2) uses a SD card so, Yes just swap them around
But
The Sync 3 is now installed onto the H/D, so the maps are on the H/D. which means only when they get hold of a UK car can they get the maps and copy them

I will have US sourced Mustang with Sync 3 when I get back to Europe, are there any map apps that work from the phone on the screen?

I have only got Spotify and Glymse to work in the Apps section. I downloaded both to my iPhone to test the system, but it does not recognise Apple or Google Maps. I will investigate the possibility of a map upgrade via CD.
