I know Ford stopped the link with Spotify in January, but I've been using an older version of Spotify and disabled updates and it's been working fine, until sometime last week - anyone know if this will be due to a Sync 3 update? The message says that Spotify hasn't loaded properly and to check that I've got the most up-to-date version. It also tries to load the Accuweather app that I've also got on my phone (which has never actually worked properly in the car), but it looks like it doesn't load that properly either now.

Wondered whether anyone knew whether it's a car or phone issue. I know I can use the audiolink thing, but it's been great not having to plug the phone in.

I don't know, I'm a bit of a luddite and only just upgraded to a Blackberry Priv and therefore my first experience with Android from Blackberry OS. When you say Android Carplay, is that like Android Auto?? Which means I need to plug it in...

How do I use bluetooth audio streaming??

Bluetooth steaming all the way for me - never had any issues (iPhone). Pair the phone via bt, then it shows as a source within the music part of sync 3. Cannot control the music from the touch screen though, other than skip forward/back a track. I just throw on a playlist & enjoy

yeah its android auto it just mirrors your phone to the screen so you control your phone via the screen so things like spotify works and as far as i'm aware ford can't stop it doing it that way.
for blue tooth audio streaming just connect phone to car via bluetooth press play on spotify and change audio source to bluetooth (may be displayed as your phone name)
then it'll play whatever you're listening to on your phone through the car. I have playlists on youtube so use it to stream them

Ah OK, so as long as I've got Spotify playing, it'll just stream it through the car? - I suppose that's a compromise but still not as good as the Spotify app working properly - so what happens when it disconnects from the car - does it continue playing on the phone and I then need to turn if off? I suppose I will find this out when I try it out!

It's Apple Carplay and Android Auto. You just plug it in.

I use Google Music with Android Auto and it works fine

Using Android Auto means you can ask it to play any song via voice control on Spotify/Music as well as the on screen interface being much easier to use.

Yes I know, but I don't want to have to take the phone out of my bag to plug into a cable. It was all working fine with the app until a week or so ago :frusty:
