Just switch to Haggerty?

I have been cut by 2 insurance companies in a row on the gt350. Just switched a month ago to Haggerty. $75k agreed value. $250k/$500k coverage, $500 deductible 5000 miles per year limit, year for $1600. No events, races etc.

My last 2 companies just won't insure the gt350 anymore. AAA and Hanover

Went to state farm, American family, Safeco and they won't touch the gt350 in my area. All said too many losses across the country with the gt350. They recommended I trade it in on a new z06 Vette which is insurable?

Don't know?

It is what it is. I switched to Haggerty.

Woo, first I've heard. That's not good news on the insurance side for the rest of us GT350 owners. I also hope they are not grouping us into the same calculation for GT350R owners with the CF rims, because that would really suck.

In MA , Geico were the only ones to take it.. I am also new in the country and don't have 5 years of clean driving. I pay 383 for 6 months at Geico for Shelby only; 540 or so for all 3 cars...

That would suck, but you better believe if my CF rims get so much as a deep scratch - I'm putting that $500 deductible to use!

Bout the same as I was with the same coverage and annual mileage. Hopefully the R will be similar.

Did some shopping through Select Quote. I saved huge by using them and am switching from Liberty Mutual to Travelers. My rate for the 350 went down from 2100 to 1050 per year with a 1k collision dedductible. Through the switch I also changed my other two vehicles, two homes, and an umbrella. With everything I'm saving 2500/yr. Select Quote did all the shopping for me, so it was an easy way to go. Haggerty came in at about the same price. I did an online quote with Barrett Jackson that came in around 750, but I haven't followed up with them yet.

The Select Quote process was pretty easy and the savings was huge. May be worth a call to them.....they are real helpful in finding the best rates out there for you.

I have Travelers as well. It is the only vehicle we have through Travelers as they were just the best for the Shelby but not the other vehicles. After $482 for the first 6 months mine has went up to $502 for the next 6 months. Listed as pleasure vehicle but no mileage limit or restrictions.

500 Collision, 250 Comp
Bodily 250k/500k
Property 250k
Under-insured 250k/500k
New Car Replacement of 62k

Try collectors insurance with Grundy where you can declare a value. My 13 Viper is with them and only cost $70 more a year than geico, which might have paid out KBB value (severely undervalued). My Grundy premium is $1070/year for 90k declared. Hagerty was dramatically more expensive for me when I quoted the viper with them. Another great thing about Grundy, no mileage limits on collectors car, only cant use it as a daily and has to be stored indoors. Hagerty has a mileage limit, no thanks. Pretty much everyone on the viper forum uses Grundy.

http://www.grundy.com/collector-cars/

How Can I Use My Car?

Grundy wants you to enjoy your car, not keep track of mileage like some programs with limitations. Therefore, we give you unlimited miles for pleasure driving and in collector car-oriented activities. It is even OK if occasionally you drive your collector car to work to show it off to friends. However, your collector car must not be used as a daily driver. We require you and all licensed drivers in your household to have a modern car for everyday use.

When you have your car at home, it must be kept in an enclosed, secure garage when not in use. If you are away from home on extended outings your car is fully protected if you must park it outside, for example in a hotel parking lot. Grundy coverage includes Trip Interruption that reimburses you for hotel and repair costs in the event of a breakdown, and we also reimburse you for towing and labor charges up to $250. You can count on Grundy as you cruise.
