The lack of a spare wheel has always been a large topic of conversation, now I have another question to pose on this subject.

I have a spare front wheel from my GT that currently has no tyre, if I was to use this as a spare, does anyone have an idea as to the smallest tyre i could get away with ??

My car still has 19" wheels with 285/35 fronts and 295/35 rears - this would only be used in an emergency situation and just wondering if I can get away with a tyre on it, or just sell it and get a different space saver spare.

This is what I was thinking of getting for a spare if my above option is a problem - https://www.thewheelshop.co.uk/prod...tible-with-17-18-19-20-factory-fitted-wheels/

cheers

It will not fit in the spare wheel well whatever you do. Also need to be very careful with the total rolling circumference if you don't want to eat your LSD on the rear when driven for any distance.

Not sure if that wheel you suggested will fit over a UK car front brakes. There is a Ford spare wheel for non- Brembo cars

guy added a spare here https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...to-your-s550-mustang-today.11109/post-3070073
and I've seen posts where it discusses options - Ford 19x9 inch Performance wheels and they clear brembos and fit in the well
Yes that is the AA wheel and tyre that I have myself.

Exchange rate hasn't helped with the price since I got mine. Nemesis often have a sale in January.

The tyres you have on are the wrong size should be 255/40r19 front and 275/40r19 rear for a GT or 255/40r19 all around on a ecoboost

The tyre sizes I have on are due to the different wheels I fitted. They are MRR MT350 wheels that I bought from JW Racing and the tyre sizes are what they suggested for these replacement wheels - and were the same sizes that they had fitted to the wheels on their car.
