Thanks for clearing that up, earlingy. I'm waiting for Hyundai UK to get back to me as I don't think the Equus was available over here. If you have any part no's or such like they might be able to cross reference for me that would be great.

The wheel itself doesn't have any part numbers on it, and I got it second hand, so I can't guarantee this information. I went to Hyundai parts' website, went to 2015 Equus > Wheels > and there is a spare there listed as part 52910-3N900.
I bet that does not include the tire (but if you're buying your own you can get a BMW i3 tire that has real treadwear and speed ratings).
You could probably also go in and figure out what years have that part number, so that you can know which years to buy second hand.

The S550 hubs are 70.45mm actual OD center lip (Ford spec is in mm). Impossible they measure 70.3mm and fit. Some machinists cut .15mm clearance which they refer to as a 70.3mm (NOMINAL) but the actual cut may be 70.3-70.4X . I spec hub centric spacers to 70.48mm no problem.

Lol, I hate metric/english mix. 5x4.5" bolt center w M14x1.5 studs. Yuck. Worked thru college at a machine shop on campus and supported research projects in both english and metric at same time. What a waste of brain power.

Wish theyd pick a system already....
When I had mine machined, I actually left my other spare with them, and asked them to measure and match the hub bore. So, I told them I heard it was 70.3, but I didn't have any way to accurately measure it myself.

Thanks for thinking of me canyon ed. It was over 3 years ago I was looking into this.

I eventually got a Jaguar space saver machined to fit. Same rolling circumference as a rear wheel. It fits front and back. Fortunately haven't needed to use it, touch wood.

I believe there are a few solutions out there now that don't need machining, mainly from the Aussies.

Cheers

Is there a benefit to doing this vs buying a spare tire kit from Ford? I got my kit that includes everything you need to do a roadside tire change for 250 bucks.

Ah I see. Not that it matters but it looks better than the ford kit.
