I changed the oil in my wife's 2017 GT Friday evening and noticed one of the splash guard screws was missing. Turns out both the screw and the little metal insert the screw threads into are gone from that location. Does anyone know where I can purchase those little metal screw inserts that that snap into the frame? They are small sheet metal inserts with a blue-green coating on them. There are six of these that hold the engine splash guard on (the smaller splash guard right in front of the transmission pan).

I've searched the usual sources, LMR, CJPP, American Muscle, and Amazon but I have not found any. Although I may not be using the right search terms.

I got a few replacements from a ford dealer. They, like, carry parts for the car in the parts department and stuff.

Its a tossup between paying a little more at the local dealership or buying online for less but paying for shipping.

NAPA has a good-sized catalog, I saw a store book. Pages had the actual fasteners on the pages. They supply lots of body shops.

They also have them in store there is nothing unique about the things.

Shopping for fasteners on Amazon is a crap shoot. As in more than a few tries. Nothing wrong with Amazon.

Use them often, I was ordering some plugs for a Militon coupler. Loooong story short, I bet it took a doze returns to get the right plugs for the coupler.

Have a Yazoo mower 28'' big wheel Yazoo closed for many years. Needed a special blade fixture to mount the blade. Amazon had the damn thing

Thanks. I have a good assortment of those but that's not what these are.

I’ve nabbed a few from the dealer.

Cost is menial and you can get a small set for a fancy latte. Definitely hit the dealer with one of the ones still in the car.
