Did you check the box in the engine bay or by the passenger side kick panel?

There are two different sound enhancers in the EB. Both utilize the car speakers.

One is ANC...active noise cancellation, which uses the mic above rear seats. That is why people with subs heard booming, anc was trying to cancel some of the low frequency sounds from the sub directly under it

Second is the sound symposer, which is a digital Soundwave of engine noise that follows the RPMs.

Ford has more stringent nvh requirements with every generation, and given four bangers don't sound very good anyways, this was all necessary

Yep. Cobb even has a video showing it on YouTube.

It seems in this case then, it should be able to be disabled, or perhaps "muted".

Go to the passenger side foot well and pull the panel on the right hand side under the glove box. Pull Fuse No. 27 (30 amp) and it'll disable it.

You can turn it off by taking the fuse out like stated above. But I dont get why people are so against it, it sounds melodious. I actually like that it sounds thicker and reminiscent of a V8

Yeah, I know the sound is fake but I honestly kind of like it. It sounds like it has some grunt to it.

I honestly like it as well. It doesn't add that much though honestly. I think subaruwrxfan did a review where he pulled the fuse. I couldn't really tell a difference so am not sure if the symposer is augmenting the Sound all that much. All I know is it sounds great from inside the car:thumbsup:

I like it, too, but this moaning/grumbling at 2krpm closed throttle is super annoying. I'll be trying the fuse pull tomorrow to see if that kills it.

I pulled my fuse because it was having a low pitch, bassy rumbling noise around 55-70 mph (around 2k rpms) and thought it might could have been the SS. It turned out to be a bad driveshaft.

I posted a comparison video of the stock sound vs. the "pulled #27 fuse" sound earlier in this thread.

Yeah.... there's not much difference, just a little deeper.

any kind of loud booming is most likely the ANC

the sound symposer will do nothing but make subtle engine noise

I think its better with it IMO, everything VW sells (including Porsches) have been using it for years. It is better than the gritty engine noise. The advantage is a quieter mustang. Its easy to add noise so I am happy to have it quieter from the factory
