For the third time now I have noticed liquid leaking from the box (?) on the winshield that holds the forward facing camera and rear view mirror. When I try to wipe it , its oily not water. Has anyone experienced this ?

Yep, that's the camera cooling fluid. Similar to blinker fluid but more oily. I'm sure your local parts store has some. They may not know what your talking about and say you're stupid but keep pressing them. It's in the parts catalog I'm sure.

For a non smartass answer I went out and took a few pics of where it's coming from. My car is garage kept. The fluid is in definently not water it smears around when I wipe it off. Just was wondering if anyone else has had this happen

So doing some more searching on the web. It looks like ford puts so oil between the camera lens and windshield so it doesn't get fogged up or haze over.

Mine started this Fall 2020, just after it got cold. Unfortunately, it continues on and off, now. Dealer knows nothing about it.

Mine still does it from time too time. I took it too a dealership local to me and they didn't have a clue. Said they would check on it but though windshield would have to come out to fix it. Never heard back and I didn't follow up. I just wipe it off and go

I'm worried that the oil substance is something that should not be leaking and is going to lead to a failure of something. My dealer didn't even want to take the module cover off to look where the oil is coming from.

There is a gel/oil pack in the module under the rear view mirror.
the module needs replaced.
I have only seen it happen only in one other car.
Does the gel/ oil pack only get replaced or does the windshield/ module get replaced?

I had to get my windshield replaced when a rock cracked it. The guy told me that sensor on the driver's side, like in your pic, is the rain sensing device. My gel looked lumpy and bubbly after he placed the windshield in and against the black box that houses the camera and rain sensor.

I believe that gel might be leaking and it somehow transmits rain sensing through that medium.
