I tried my best to find part numbers on the 10R80 from Tasca parts online and several other Ford OEM sites. They don’t break down internal parts with part numbers or prices. So……..
I called my Ford dealer and talked to the parts guy. He says the CDF was upgraded in Apr 2023. So I assume the...
Went by Ford dealer today and talked to service manager. He said they would probably put in a new transmission. The CDF hub has been on back order for almost a year. He said they get this repair to the 10R80 all of the time. He has an F150 3.5 ecoboost and he’s replaced two already. But, he does...
Thanks for all the responses and analogies. I’ll show this to her. I agree anything can fail at any time, whether a blowout, transmission or an ignition switch on a 1990 Accord that went bad while car was on interstate. All power shut off and car died and steering locked. Only happened once in...
We bought this car in 2021 from Vroom with 12k miles. It’s the first time I’ve ever gotten and extended warranty. Even though Vroom stopped selling and buying cars their third party company, Safeguard, has said they will honor the 4 year warranty. I have to pay $100 deductible. I may come out...
My wife’s 18 GT vert with 49k miles and well maintained just lost the transmission. Luckily, she was driving only 35 when the rear tires locked and then she applied gas and it did nothing. So she applied more. Then the car shot off, tires spinning, as it tried to do a donut. She calmed herself...
Pretty sure. It’s open quite frequently and car is garaged most of the time. I removed the rubber boot and sprayed some silicon on it and pushed it in and out a few times. Will see what happens.
You’re right. With E85 it’s constantly feeding time. I’ll just spray the push pin that locks inward on first push and then pops out on second push. Doesn’t look easy to get access to replace the simple mechanism if necessary.
Anyone encounter their fuel lid open without ever doing anything that would make it open? It happens all of the time. Any ideas on what might be the cause and how to repair?
Thanks.
It has been said that a ported intake doesn’t do much if anything on a stock 5.0. Are there any proven or felt gains if I already have an air intake, headers, and tune? Would my mods make the ported intake a worthwhile addition? I have a 2019 GT.
Has anyone heard or have sound clips of the quiet cut gears in the G2 or G3 ESS unit?
I’m very interested in the kit but personally do not like the constant whirring high pitch of the straight cut gears. Didn’t know if the quieter gears were much quieter.
