All these threads I've been reading are running together in my head, but I read a post the other day where a member here claimed to have good information the he knows for sure some cars were released from the factory with the cam timing off.
Now, also reading all these threads about first impressions and their GT's breaking the tires loose when getting into it while cruising in 2nd gear, getting sideways, catching 2nd and 3rd gear tire chirps, etc... has me wondering if I possibly have this timing issue?

Now granted, I have not done a clutch dump, but with it in either Sport or Track mode, or just turning off the Traction Control I've been getting into it and just cannot get the tires to break loose. Between gears or just nailing the throttle in a slow cruise.
Also there seems to be a "lag" on throttle response when I press the gas pedal to rev the engine in neutral.

Anyone have info on this mentioned cam timing issue? I just don't want to show up at the dealership and bother the service department over speculation.
Oh, manual Trans and 3:55 rear.

If the cam timing was off your check engine light would be on.

The stock tune has had lag for years, one of the main reasons people upgrade their tunes.

I did get it a bit sideways once punching it in 3rd... The way this gear box is set up 1st and 2nd are mainly to get it moving, they are not real driving gears (they together are equivalent to 1st in an old 4 speed) 3rd, 4th & 5th are the money gears, if your on a track after the start these would be likely the only gears you use. 6th is the highway mileage gear, and maybe useful for a top speed run.

Get this made a big difference on mine. I bought the remote to make it adjustable but haven't installed it yet, running it at 100 percent. PedalMAX ‰Ford - Eliminate Pedal Lag & Turbo Lag - Enhance Throttle Response ‰- Works on all 2011 - 2015 Ford Vehicles. brothersperformance.com
