His other brackets have been in the just-less-than $50 range. I am going to estimate something similar for the new one.

I like the bracet! I think I'll get one for sure. However, right now I more interested in the wheels that are on the white mustang on his web page.

Does anyone have any idea what make the are. All I can make on on zoom is a first letter F on the wheel?
Those are the Shelby Alcoa Forged wheels.
I had a set i sold not to long ago, but they are impossible to get now.

Are you using Sto-N-Show brackets because you want to keep the bumper clean for car shows?
I live in a state that requires front plates (MN). Cops, here, are pretty strict on enforcement. If they pull you over for that minor infraction, they have the right to search the whole vehicle.. Some of the "Sto-N-Show"-type brackets position the plate in front of the lower grill. I don't want any air blockage from the plate.
How many people are using the stock attachment plate?

This is why I am going to use Craig's bracket and not Sto-and-Go. I want the plate to be where the stock attachment area is located. I don't want to drill holes in the front bumper or mount the stock plate holder on the paint.

I recall seeing something about a license plate bracket being included with my car on the order guide. Is that installed at the factory or at the dealer?

Dealer if you let them...Or I should say, tell them do not install bracket in writing along with dealer advertising crap on rear of car.

Has anyone been able to contact craig? I emailed him about the plates a week ago and haven't heard back.

I am going to email him tonight. I'll ask him about mounting the bracket in an offset position.

From Craig (I asked him about getting one before 12/24, in addition to the question about positioning) -

"I'm hoping they are ready late next week, so it's possible to have one to you by the 24th. No promises though.

You can install it off center but the license plate will have to sit flat along the face of the bumper cover and not facing straight forward. You can't angle it to point straight forward off the bumper angle that's created by moving it to the side."

Hoping for the best on these babies getting done before too much longer!

I wouldn't worry about air blockage too much. This is what the Sto N Sho bracket looks like. As you can see the front grille is very open, so you shouldn't have any air blockage issues.

great pictures, ty!

and thanks for contacting craig for me. maybe i lost his reply or he forget to email me back.

@tony - what does he mean it won't point straight forward if I put it off to the side? isn't the angle difference between to the side and off center like 2-3 degrees? long story short it'll definitely be possible and fine to have it off to the side?

@blk - the red mustang gt with Craigs custom bracket, how did you get one? I thought he hadn't made one yet lol. and any chance it can go higher up so it's covering as little of the bottom grille as possible? or is that the only position (height wise)

It means yes, you can mount it offset from the center so long as you don't mind the plate being flush along the part of the bumper where it gets positioned. That's because the back part of the mount securing the plate has to be resting on the bumper. If it is like the other brackets he's produced, there is a rubber grommet that damps vibration by resting on the surface. These do NOT affect the paint finish. I know this from personal experience over the last 8 years on two different Mustangs for which I've used them.

Also, what you see there is a prototype on a test car pictured on Craig's website.

Last thing - I was told this will work for all of the current S550 bumpers, whether V6, EcoBoost, or GT.

That photo I pulled directly from Craig's website, but it may be a prototype. Looks like it is on the JLT project mustang. Not sure if it can be mounted higher or not, again, I am referencing the photo on his site.

Gotcha, looks like I'll definitely be ordering one.

Do you guys have any ideas on how to temporarily have the plate on the front bumper since the car might arrive any day now (without damaging the paint? I will stand out from every other car without a front plate and will no doubt be pulled over here (vancouver, BC).

Think it's possible to get it between the headlight and the foglight?
