Dont worry about it, Just make sure the dealer does not install it. In NJ we are required by law to have front license plate. I've had my car for over 3 years and no front license plate, nothing has happened to me. Cops in NJ dont really enforce that law... You are not going to get pulled over for not having a front license plate. I am going to buy a mustang once the dealers have them, but if the dealer installs front license plate i am not buying no matter what. Takes away from the look so much. But it is totally up to you, its your car.

Good call. I spend most of my time in NC anyway, but will have Va plates for the next 8 months or so. It'll be a coin toss to see if I get pulled in VA because I was pulled over for my tint once. The cops in RVA can be something else lol.

VA will definitely pull you over without a front tag. I've had customers pull into the front lot of my dealership with flashing lights behind them because of their front tag.

I think I've mentioned this before, but where I live, you're likely to get actually arrested for not having a front license plate on your car. There are cameras set up at all entrances to Manhattan to track what cars are coming in and run them against terrorist watchlists, and if you're driving a car without a front license plate you will get pulled over -- a friend of mine driving in with a Michigan car without a front plate got pulled over solely for that, and just got a chat from the cop to make sure he wasn't a terrorist, even though front plates aren't required in Michigan. If you were driving a New York or New Jersey car without a front plate, you would automatically be assumed to be doing it to avoid criminal detection, and you'd absolutely be arrested.

Not really. If something hit my front plate with enough force to do that, then it would probably would damage the bumper anyway.

I believe it. Which is why I'm looking at options other than drilling holes in my front bumper since I'll be able to take the front plate off once I'm a legal NC resident next year and register in NC

arrested for not having a front license plate? never heard of it. It is non moving violation they can give you a ticket, but arrested..... I have been driving in NJ for 4 plus years without being pulled over for Front license plate. Been pulled over speeding and still got let go, but nothing about a front license plate. Sure they can give you a ticket, but arrested... i dont think so. Just like having tint on your car, id rather pay the 50 ticket to have my car look better anways, but this is soley my opinion, do what you think is best regarding your car. Drive around your area see if everyone has a front plate or talk to a local cop see if they enforce it.
