The main reason is that most people who are shopping for Mustangs, especially in your part of the country, aren't buying until spring. Dealers typically have the same issue, nobody is even thinking about it until the snow and cold is on the way out.

Since the sale is done... 37.5/48.5=0.773 which is still high for year. A non-covid distortion would have had it at around 0.65 with some consideration for mileage. OP got a very generous valuation at sale.
