I really loved my 2015 ST3. It had all the bolt ons and then towards the end I won a big turbo raffle and it was a lot of fun. Ended up bagged on Meth... a lot of meth.. and put 445 hp down. IF awd is needed then I think the RS is a great car, I had some fun running my friends and taking it out. But we both agreed it’s not worth the 15-20k premium over a ST.. unless of course AWD is needed. He ended up going to a SS 1LE. Nothings changed though he still gets pulled haha.

got a video of his RS vs my ST but if I recall the forum doesn’t allow “street racing” vids.

Well big turbo front drive should run down comparable awd set up once hooked. My caliber srt4 360/370 whp would spin em to nearly 70 mph though.

Stock they're quick to 60 from a dig and that's about it. I agree with others that he probably had a hybrid turbo and a tune. What you should really be afraid of are the Golf GTI/R. With upgraded turbos those guys are making over 400WHP. If you aren't e85 tuned you'll get beat by a few cars lol
I have a tuned 2012 2.0T Beetle, but I chose a more linear ECU and DSG TCU tune for it (unitronics) over APR so it builds power as time goes and very smooth on stock internals aside from just a Borla cat-back, have to be careful since it goes to way over the speed limit so quickly before I know it.

Shhhhh, so many people don't want to believe this. :)

Yes sir... technology has made the small displacement engines quite competitive. My wives flat four is quicker 0-60 than my 5.2 liter... hers weighs quite a bit less, but a flat 4 going 0-60 in 3.9 seconds? Damn!
