I had a 13' GT with the GT500 valence and quad axle back. It was PERFECT for me. It had just the right tone, aggressiveness and pops on decel without being what I would consider "loud". I'm trying to find that sound on my 15 GT. Rep at AM told me kooks is closest but I'm wondering if FRPP will sell the GT350 quads and valence. Either that or go with Roush Active, (when it's actually "active") which I really really like. I'm not sure I can wait for either though . Anyone with similar experience? What did you go with?

A good friend of mine has an 11 GT with the 11 GT500 valance and dual axle back (Very similar setup to yours). I loved his sound and wanted to replicate it on my 15, but unfortunately, there are quite a few changes that make a world of difference to this new car. The 15 has less pops for sure, I read somewhere that the firing order is different, the exhaust pipes are bent differently, etc. Lots of things to impact the sound.

If you're looking for a suggestion, I say don't try to replicate a very specific sound or you may set yourself up for disappointment. Find a sound that you like and make it your new favourite sound. Be more general with your preferences, H-pipe vs X-pipe, resonated/deresonated, etc. and go from there. Plenty of great exhaust setups on the market now. I started out drooling over the Stainless Works H-Pipe because I thought it best replicated my friends 11' GT, and then I ended up buying a Borla S-Type X-Pipe Catback.

I can't really help with that, but if you interested in the look of the quad tip Roush has a system coming out to fit that bill. I talked to a Roush dealer yesterday and they weren't sure when it would be available, but they thought pretty soon. Maybe the next couple weeks was what I was told.

Man I'm in the same boat. I want to do it right the first time and not waste money. I thought about going custom but I realized custom exhausts are hard to get the sound right (get the right piping, the right x or h pipe, the correct mufflers, etc) and you could easily end up with drone. I love the way the Corsa, FRPP sport, and Borla Atak sound. I think I will end up with one of the three, it'll just come down to price. I want to keep it under $1000 for sure...and then there's the chance for more quad set ups to come out lol
