I come from a pretty decent sized metro area...and we have plenty of s550s. But holy f***ing crap. There are SO many s550s in miami. First day here I bet we seen 200+. Like every 10 seconds. All base models with absolutely no mods at all. I don't believe a single one was a gt either. Most were v6s(haven't seen a single v6 in my area in s550 gen). Is this normal in large cities?? Haha.

GT's in Miami

Its called a bad economy. Yeah I also check out the decklids to spot a GT.
Mostly V6's or Ecoboost babies. But if your looking to find some GT's and some GT350's, Shelby GTE or some bad ass bad boy Shelby Super Snakes head over to Gus Machado Ford in Kendall off of US1 - They are having a HUGE meet there the weekend of the 13th. (Correction) :D ;)

:headbang:

I don't have an issue with it. Shit I drive an EB. But I have yet to see a gt or a modified one down here in the hundreds I've seen lol. South beach was crawling in them.

I would think those are mostly rentals. If i'm going on vacation and I have a choice to drive something nice like a new Mustang, I'm gonna go for it. I know my BIL did just that recently on vacation. He said he loved the car and it was V6.

A lot of people from the UK are getting V6 Stangs as their rental car

I've been in FL twice since I bought mine and it's the same way. Has to be the rental market. LOTS of convertibles as well. I get back home to KY and once again am the only S550 GT in town..lol

I was in Cocoa Beach last month and noticed a lot of S550 as well. I didn't see any GTs or check out the interior to see if they were base or not. Around my house I see more Turbos than GTs by a large margin, and we have a booming economy.

I was just in the Keys a couple weeks ago and would count 1 in every 15 in oncoming traffic. Most convertibles.

Bad economy?

2008 and the following years was a bad economy! I think things are pretty good right now.
Cheap gas, DOW at record highs, low unemployment...take it while you can!

To stay on topic, probably rentals as was previously mentioned .

all those rentals depress the residual values of the car unfortunately. Automatic Ecoboost models especially.

You can tell base or not by checking out the rear bumper.

One piece is base. Two piece is premium.
