Sweet...Gonna try to make this, seems like a good time.

I will be at the Poker run Saturday and the driving at the track day on Sunday at Homestead. Planning to bring my newly acquired race red 16 GT-PP to shake it down in stock configuration. It's my first S550 chassis so I want to get a base line before I start building in the track configuration. Just minimal prep besides a "nut and bolt check" , we are swapping out all of the factory brake and clutch fluid with Motul RBF 600, adding stainless caliper and clutch lines and changing pads out to Hawk DTC70/70 for some serious bite and higher temp parameters. Also adding a JLT brake cooling duct kit.
This event is allot of fun. The kind folks from Shelby American in Vegas will be on site, their hauler is already here in Miami @ Machado Ford. I attended the inaugural event last year and it was a blast. In addition, Professional Race car drivers will be in attendance also. My good friend, Billy Johnson will be in attendance. Billy just ran the Ford GT in the 24 hrs at Le mans, then Richard Petty's NASCAR at Sonoma road course, and Mustang GT-4 at Goodwood festival and this was all in one month. He will be VIP driving one of the Shelbys.
In addition, Trans Am Champion Ernie Francis Jr and his Breathless racing team will be in attendance. He started his professional racing career locally in Miami. Was the youngest driver to win a championship! He knocked many seasoned motor racing veterans off the podium.

We are gathering to celebrate the love of all things automotive as embodied by the spirit of one of the worlds foremost motorsport minds - Carroll Shelby!

This event is a 4-day motorsport festival - with 2 Track days, a Poker run/Cruise to Key Largo, Car shows, parties, music, dining, dancing, VIP experiences and MORE!

Day 1- Thursday Night - Car Show/Gathering at Gus Machado Ford - Kendall - No Registration required
Day 2 - Friday All Day - Track event at Homestead Miami Speedway - Car Show - Car Corrals - VIP Suites and more!
Day 3 - Saturday All Day - Poker Run/ Cruise to Key Largo - 5 stops at some Florida landmarks including the Dolphins Plus Bayside facility for a BBQ Lunch, Dolphin swims and more and ending at the resort where we'll enjoy a party afternoon/evening with live music, food and more on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
Day 4 - Sunday All Day - Wrap up the event with another day on the Track at Homestead - Miami Speedway. Car Show, Car Corrals, VIP Suites, Parade Laps (open to ALL cars) and more!
Food trucks will be on site on Friday and Sunday at Homestead. Lunch will be on you own except for those with VIP Suite access at Homestead.

The VIP suite will include a nice catered lunch in the Air-Conditioned suite in the second floor of the main garage building in the HMS infield as well as snacks and beverages throughout the day. ANYONE registered as a DRIVER is NOT permitted to consume ANY alcoholic beverages while at the track.

EVERYONE that registers to participate in the Poker Run/ Cruise to Key Largo will be included in the BBQ lunch at the Dolphins Plus Poker Run Stop.

Also, at the Dolphins Plus stop they will be offering a number of dolphin swims on a first-come first-served basis. Additional dolphin swims may be purchased at a discounted rate for those that want an extra experience or those that miss out on the limited number of available swims. If you haven't done it... it is worth every penny! AND it supports a GREAT cause!
