Yesterday I went to the local Ford dealer for a 10A micro fuse that I blew fitting LED boot light, the local factors did not stock them. Ford dealer quickly gave me one for free. They are not Mustang dealers & I have contacted them previously & because the don't do Mustangs would not help.
The supplying dealer was helpful in buying process & kept me informed but could not answer some questions. Ford customer service answered some technical questions but last time I asked about tyre pressure sensors responded that the don't do tech queries despite it being an option, "speak to your dealer".
Supplying dealer told me it would have a heated windscreen " Its a Ford". Seems UK cars dont have a heated screen they have SoundScreen presumably incompatible. Heated screen is documented as switch-able from touch screen.
I ordered the heated seats but it came without, whether that was a dealer or Ford mistake I dont know but I got a free service as compensation
Welcome to the forum Tim! Not a great experience you highlight there but typical sadly! I would be after much more than a free service for that kind of balls up!

@TimG honestly that's pretty amazing, they never had any when I blew my fuse, @Enoch gave me a couple spare for free. Managed to find a place that sells them online though.
Hopefully you never paid for heated seats (they're naff and ineffective from most peoples comments), usually ford submitting the order form goes 'wrong' as ford basically place the order with ford us for build, so it'll be whoever submitted the 'deals' fault for that one... Ford's plant just built to spec sent to them!

Welcome to the forum though.

When my rear number plate fell off in my garage I was not going to make an 180 mile round trip to sort it. Phoned the dealer & they arranged for me to go to a Honda dealer 15 miles away in the same group. I arrived but they were not expecting me but sorted it anyhow. When the front fell off when parked away I got them to send me the double sided tape & refitted it myself.
When collecting my my new car I noticed I could only just the L/H mirror to get a good view anyone shorter would not have been able to adjust to suit. I told the salesman but elected to leave it till service or some other reason to return. The salesman gave a comprehensive hand over I could not fault.

They use those fuses in the Mondeo as well (a car that comes with spares, unlike the Mustang!) so any Ford service dept should have them.

Larry if your car has a heated screen you can see the elements in the glass. The button is on the climate screen to the left of Max defrost. See page 246 button J.Button H & the hard button heat rear screen & mirrors only.

I love my heated seats, and they work great for this time of year.
The cooling i'm not so enamoured with but not too sure we really need it in the UK.

If it has it you can detect the wires in the laminate. I don't believe any Mustang gets it. I think it should be mandatory on all cars, brilliant feature.
Nope Mustang aint got it. I have it on my fiesta & it's brilliant! But yes, you can see the wires inside the glass on cars that have it. Not noticeable unless you look though

Steve I ordered through Macrae & Dick Inverness. Only 3 dealers in Scotland, Edinburgh Glasgow & Inverness. I'm surprised Aberdeen & Dundee dont have a Mustang dealer. I ordered September 2015 & was eventually told it would be delivered 1st week June 2016 but it turned up last week of May. I thought it would be a June reg but they taxed it 31st May.

Yes heated seats & screens are good. At local dealer yesterday there was a KA+ with both thats a 10K car not 3 times as much.

M&D in Perth are a FordStore now too so i'll probably use them for service/warranty work. They weren't at the time of my order in Feb15 though so I ordered from Edinburgh.
They taxed your car on the 31st  Guess it helped their sales figures and screw the customer...

But, the windows do clear a lot quicker than the S197, the front will clear in around 3mins when I put on the RS

Evans Halshaw in Motherwell as well as Glasgow, now a Ford Store. M&D were bought out by Parks of Hamilton last year, so I would expect a few more Ford Stores appearing

It has a feature called 'quick clear' rather than 'heated windscreen'. Basically meant to clear the windscreen super fast.! Mines only had ice once, so I can't really comment as it is in a garage overnight or if it's outside has a cover on it (usually).
However the ice I did have was thick and took about5 minutes to clear with deicer, which I was mildly impressed with!
