Smooth ride

Hi all. Buying new a/s tires 255/45/18. Need some opinions on which ones will provide the smoothest ride. Roads here can really suck. Money is not an issue. Thanks.

Get a premium brand grand touring tire

Generally the more sidewall your tire has, the better it takes bumps. However, it usually means its a little worse in high speed corners.

My A/S wheels/tire are 255/45-R19. Perhaps you meant 19" wheels? 18's will be too small diameter and throw off your speedo/odo.

Although money is not an issue for you, I bought nice OEM wheels/tires with 100 miles on them locally for $700. So you might consider looking for some nice take-offs. You could repurpose your current wheels by mounting summer tires on them and then have two sets of wheels.

Appropriately sized 18s will maintain speedo accuracy.

Thanks for all your advice. I decided to go with Vrenderstien Quatrac Plus grand touring tires size 255/45/18. I'll report back after they have been on for a while.

That's a good one almost went for Quatrac myself ended up getting a good price on Falcon FK 510 that have good ride and wide temp range
