Trying to decide which taillights to get for my 15-17 Comp Orange mustang.

I like the look of smoked on a blacked out mustang but trying to decide if smoked will make the rear too blacked out on a comp orange with the rear deck panel. Eg will it just blend into one black blob on the back?

My mustang is a NZ RHD one so currently I already have the 15-17 clear lenses on, anyone got any ideas or opinions?

Here's my car currently:

Heres what clear vs smoked would be:

My vote is clear. No loss of lumen output. A must for brake lights considering a good portion of the population is driving distracted.

Yeah i was thinking this as well but in person theres no noticeable difference in the output.
So just purely going from aesthetics. The smoked isn't actually that smoked as well.

This ! And, less chance of blowback from insurance should you be involved in an accident.

As every country has specific lighting recs on their books, it would behove one to become familiar with them. I've has two sets of the smoked. Never again .............. Got tired at inspection time of having to prove they were US DOT certified.

the ones im getting have the EMARK on them, so they would be compliant here. Guess could keep my old clears as a back up.
Also the place I get my servicing sells them, so should be fine. Ill email my insurance company though and ask.

Do guys prefer replacing them or tinting over the OEM rails and headlights?

Got an email form my insurance company saying the smoked lenses will be fine, since certified for NZ use and it's not seen as a modification. I will be saving that email... Just in case

I am going from my tinted lights to clear euros as soon as they arrive in the mail. I prefer the way they look because they seem to showcase the design of the 18+ lights the best (plus I want some contrast on my gray car)
