So when I accelerate hard I can notice some smoke coming from my exhaust, not a lot but only enough to tell at night when there’s headlights behind me (Camaros) lol. Anyways, I haven’t noticed excessive oil consumption but I do smell oil burning when accelerating hard. Should I be concerned ?

Is the smoke white or black?

have you checked your coolant level (if the smoke is white)?

Valve cover gaskets are probably shot and need replacing. Every time I got onto the acceleration, high rpm’s, I had white smoke behind me. Oil was dripping into the headers.

Dude I’ve tried replacing the valve cover gaskets twice, didn’t go as planned. High pressure fuel system has stopped me both times. The fuel lines are in the way and I can’t move them. I have a set of gaskets & tube seals but couldn’t figure out how to get it done. So I’m calling the shop today to get a price. When I removed the high pressure fuel pump there was small amounts of oil coating the spring. Not sure if I should be worried about that, my next route is to contact my tuner and see what’s up too. I’m over this car and all the pretty problems I’ve had with it lol.

Disconnect the battery and let the car sit overnight. Then pop off the fuel line at the firewall with a 3/8” fuel line disconnect tool. You should be able to either remove the fuel lines or pull the intake at this point.

there’s a good chance it’s just blowing out carbon/steam. My car produces a lot of water that sits in the mufflers until I get into the higher rev range.

Are you sure your seeing smoke and not water vapor? How long does it hang in the air?

Any sweet or antifreeze smell? How does your engine oil look? (Over filled, milky, etc?) Does the underside of the oil fill cap look clean or is there a milky buildup?

White smoke is usually burning water (coolant). Not usually accompanied by a burning oil smell.

Blue smoke is usually oil

Black is usually gas

The valve covers/gaskets can definitely leak and cause oil burning. But that smoke would be at your engine and you would smell burning oil when you get out of your car. If leaking bad enough, you will have smoke rolling out of your hood just sitting at a stoplight.

Is it puffs or a steady stream of smoke? If it's just little puffs here and there could be detonation. You said you see it at night. I would look into it more during the day maybe set up your phone somewhere and do a fly by to see exactly what's going on.
