Well guys I ended up pulling the trigger on getting a 21 Mustang Gt. I notice that under 2k while accelerating, there is a slight hesitation then surge (I can't exactly describe it). Once it gets past 2k rpms it feels alright. Is this a normal thing for this 5.0?

For the most part 93, I have run 89 in it. I literally bought it a few weeks ago, and it's been like that.

Is it an auto? It could be the torque converter locking maybe.

As mentioned before breaking it in a bit then if it persists take it in. Make sure the E-brake is fully off. Also, a throttle controller will hide this. :D

Our Bullitt does this; jumps between 1800 and 2000 rpm. Low on power on low revs too. Many dealers tried to fix it. Having another garage visit in June 22 (busy in UK).

ill post here if we find solution

I had this happen once for a brief time - my only idea at the time was water in the air filter (I had just cleaned it). So make sure your filter is dry and sealed, I guess. Do they seal them shut on the regular GT like they did on the Roush?
