I have a pioneer dmh 4660 nex. Head unit. Installed. Two 10 inch kickers and amp in the trunk.
Will upgrading the door and rear speakers sound better with out running an after market amp? I have the preimum sound system already. Thank you.

Unlikely. Which radio/speaker option do you have, 9 speaker, or B&O 12?

No they won’t. The stock amp isn’t powerful enough to drive most aftermarket speakers effectively. Don’t cheap out, do it once, do it right.

Exactly what Evolvd said.

In addition.... do you integrate into the stock amp with your aftermarket headunit like with a Maestro RR?
If yes, this can stay as is, you just need the appropriate harness from idatalink for the AR/DSR1 and go on from there.... with this harness you can reuse the existing stock signal and speaker wiring (except for the tweeters) which makes adding an additional aftermarket amplifier a lot less complicated.
If your installer doesn't know what we're talking about, go to another one that knows what a T-harness from Maestro idatalink does.
