No Luffield or Maggotts, which is a pity as I think they're probably the two most famous bits.

Lots of straights though, how surprising ;)

I remember cheering when Michael Schumacher went off there some years back and then feeling terrible after as he had obviously been injured. Not as bad as he is now though. So hope he gets better.

Just driving on the same bit of road as Mansell, Hill, and all those greats have done and still do will be special for me.

That's how the weather is pretty much every time I've been to Silverstone - it normally manages to be most of these at the same time depending on where you are at the circuit too...

Hopefully it'll be warmer than the Members Meeting was at Goodwood a couple of weeks ago, I've only just thawed out ;)

Just being in a 2.3L mustang in the UK on RHD will be special for me, let alone being at silverstone, i'm buzzing! Excited child mode engaged :cheers:

OK I've booked sunny weather, so it will be dry.

Hangar straight, I've done near 150mph down there in a V10 Lambo in heavy rain.

The insurance thing,

Good points - you're in charge of your own car (except Manders of course) so you can drive within your limits with the help of the instructor allowing for weather/experience etc so you should be ok with your new(ish) £30,000 + car.



Bad points - Dai dick head rams you up the chuff into the Armco writing of both cars and goodness knows what injuries to everyone involved.

You do not want to go home in an ambulance £30k + out of pocket

Please get insurance

I have nothing to do with any insurance company/ not on commission etc
