Thing is, I live within close proximity of the 3rd largest city in the USA. Our rural farm town areas have been over run by big city progress, the traffic by road, rail and air is just staggering. So my views have changed with time.
Now, ProStock Diesel Tractor pullers rolling coal to 60+ feet off the stack on a weekend event, That’s all American

Petition for cleaner fuels then, like Porsche and their development of 100 octane carbon neutral gas. I'd pay over 2 bucks/liter for it, no problem. Or does your ethics have a price limit ?

Since you brought this into the fold most don’t know WWII Germany developed that technology almost 100 years ago as a means to overcome the crude oil sanction imposed on Germany.
Gas to Liquid isn’t a Shell Oil technology. Shell funded the process on a global scale.
Personally I feel there isn’t a more energy rich and cleaner fuel than Refined Crude oil. It just requires some pre and post after treatment to keep the tail pipes clean.
Pretty simple compared to the alternatives.
