Checked my can at 2600 miles. Emptied about 2 oz from it. Seems to be working well. I did not pay any attention to what orientation of the inlet and outlet. It's model 5028-98-SC.

If I recall correctly the inlet side was the hose that has oil residue. The outlet would be clean. Both sides have a slight bit of oil. Now I have no idea which side is which. Clear as mud?

The can itself. If you look at the top, the open C will be the exit side back to the manifold. That black NPT fitting will have a silver mark on it as well. This side is where the check valve line goes too.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I called you guys the next day and got clued in to how it is properly installed. I did not have any silver paint on mine. It does have some grease pencil on it now! I now have 2700 miles on my car and have collected approx 2 oz. I am sold on UPR catch cans.
