Car has been at the dealer since last wednesday. They're fixing up their screw ups when they replaced my dash for the bubbling issue.

They had to order a completely new drivers door panel (damaged it), drivers sill plate (scratched it up), drivers exterior trim piece (scratched it too), and sent it to a body shop to get a dent fixed on the drivers door (happened when the door was opened, the "wind" blew it closed when there was a bolt sticking out on the side and pushed against the sheet metal), scratches on the door sill (down to the primer), and damaged the dash trim piece with the PP gauges. Its been a week and two days and i just want the car back already (tired of driving this 2015 Escape rental).

Now I sort of regret having the dash replacement done.

I hope so too. Only real issues i remember having with a new car is with my 2011 V6 Mustang when the transmission was having issues (first time the 6R80 was adapted for the Mustang) And that one was a pain. This is by far the biggest headache I've ever had with a new car.

Man, I feel bad for you and terrified for me. Ford Regional called me Tuesday and again this afternoon saying that she has the dealer ordering the dash for mine.......same reason and same exact spot as yours.

I told her about the pictures of what happened with yours......and that I understand that at that point it's between me and the dealer; Ford will be out of that argument....not a warranty issue, it's a dealer created problem and up to dealer to fix at their cost.

My car, like yours was, looks like it just rolled off the truck. I don't want a bunch of repairs done before I even get to the first oil change.

Please keep me posted on how it turns out. AND, I wish you the best with it.

On a positive note, at least they did not try to cover up their problems and blame someone else like dealers usually do

My car was not perfect when I bought it (65 miles on it, assuming it was just test drives) but when I inspected it before I went home, and even after the first wash, it was nearly flawless, save for a very small rock chip on the front bumper cover. Now it's being repainted in certain areas to fix something the dealer messed up.

I just want the car back. I miss sitting in the recaros, rowing the gears and hearing that turbo whistle.

I didn't wanna do it after hearing that they would have to remove the entire dash, but my thought was "what if it spreads?" I don't want a car that's a few years old at best to look like its 10 years old.

I'll give the dealer a call tomorrow to see how it's going. I just want my car back :(
