Off topic slightly, heard Nissan doesn't wanna build the IDx, and of course, Hondon't has no rwd coupe... Wtf is Japan doing? They use to make sick cars back in the days
2015 WRX is nice, imo. Civic Type R seems badass. Accord Coupe w/ V6 is a nice cruiser, but not really 'sporty'.

Other than that...more boring stuff w/ the exception of the GTR and FT1/Supra thing if it ever gets produced.

That's the problem; The only other RWD Japanese car currently produced is the long in the tooth 370z and if you wanna talk Asian in General, Genesis Coupe, although they dropped the turbo 4 (Oh, and there's the Qwhatever it is coupe, but that really hasn't been touched in what, 8 years?)

Oh, there is the Miata, but that's more compariable to the Toyobaru twins... You think they'd offer a MS version and also produce a RWD coupe or something with the new MS3 or even old MS3 engine.

Seriously still confused how Japan lost it's mojo when it came to making fun rwd cars

That's why I bought an S14 lol, because it's cooler than anything Nissan is currently making (sans GT-R / 370Z)

Talk about a company that lost their way, Juke wouldn't be bad if they offered Manual with AWD or gave it a 7spd auto instead of a CVT.

I was between the FRS/BRZ and the Ecoboost. The FRS is SOOOOO slow, it's impressively slow. i couldn't get over it. I could get over the bad interior, the rougher ride, the smaller cabin, the useless back seats, but the acceleration is beyond abysmal.

You get soooo much more car for your money with the Ecostang. I test drove both, and there was just no way around it for me. I really tried to like the Toyobaru, but the Ecostang just blows the Toyobaru away as far as what you get for your money.

Ecostang, I'm definitely stealing that now

Until Subaru/ Toyota put a turbo on that BRZ/FRS it will be way under powered. Car would be a blast if they put the wrx turbo setup in it. Really surprised they haven't already. In its current form it isn't even close to the car the Ecostang is. I was looking at them also when I bought my car and it was a easy decision after driving them both.

It really seems like the reviewers had already decided not to like the Mustang before they even sat in it. It just sounds like they WANTED to dislike it.

If you read the whole thing they actually gave the mustang a lot of props, but then in the end they somehow seem to come to the conclusion that the FRS is better even though it is admittedly weak

I owned an FR-S prior to owning my GT. I know most of you hate on the FR-S, but in my opinion, it is leaps and bounds more fun to drive than the Mustang. It isn't even close. It was like driving a go-kart everywhere. I've never seen a person not smiling while driving a go-kart and they only go like 15mph and have 5hp.

The reason I bought the Mustang is because the FRS was too low, had rough suspension and was not very comfortable on long trips (although the seats themselves were fantastic!).

I think a lot of people are missing the point in what the author was trying to say. The car is so much fun to drive. Nowhere does he say it is a better overall car or a better daily driver, he just says it is flat out fantastic to drive.

Having had a 94 Miata back in the day I know what you mean about fun and slow. That being said I like my Mustang more. Of course, I liked my 2011 GT more than my Ecoboost, but I believe that will change after I finish with it.

Guess it is different strokes for different fokes. I found the Mustang to be a lot more fun to drive. Love the power when I step on it. Don't get me wrong the FRS is a fun car but the Mustang is way more fun to drive to me.
