Side Marker lights - MOT

Has anyone had their car MOT'd with side marker lights fitted, and was everything ok, or is it best to re-fit the standard reflectors before taking the car in.?

Yes, and no problem whatsoever.

Left them in, let them light up, no issues. Infact rear sidemarkers aren't a legal requirement for the car

I think the issue is more that you're not allowed to emit red light from anything but the rear IIRC.

No, it is only illegal to show a red light to the front of the vehicle, or a white light to the rear unless you are reversing.

Thanks everyone, I had the same concerns as @Centurion07 as I don't think trucks are allowed red lights on the side of the trailers, as they use orange lights, so I assumed it would apply to our cars, but it seems the UK testers are passing the vehicles which is good news, (I know it wouldn't take long to swop the items back the originals for an MOT, but that's one thing less to worry about)
