FWIW, not all vinyl is as easy to lay over curves and bends (or bumps). If you decide to redo it, maybe the manufacturer has a grade in the same color that is easier to work with. If not, there are YouTube videos showing how to use heat to lay vinyl over those types of surfaces.I tried putting vinyl stripes on my spoiler today. It looks OK from a distance, but up close you can see how bad the curves made the vinyl wrinkle, especially on the bottom surface.
I've got enough leftover vinyl that I can experiment with different techniques. Today I did a dry application, so I can still try wet application as well as heat.
We have installed stripes on cars with black roof, did some with the stripes on the black roof.

Leaving stripes off the black roof always looks okay. Putting the stripes on a black roof, does not look as good but some color stripes may work better than others.
