My brother is in the midst of fighting for his life because of cancer. Already lost my sister as well many years ago.

I got my R the day before I found out about my brother. Thing is that I don't think I would have got it if I found out he had cancer first. But truth be told, if I didn't have it I probably would be in full depression mode. It's been the one thing that's been bringing me joy in the midst of all this craziness.

Not to take away from your story - salute to you and your family and congrats! Enjoy. It was meant to be for sure.
I wish him the best. It's a horrible thing to go through.

Chris, just an outstanding post especially in light for all that you and your family have gone through in recent days as I enjoyed your video and well thought out post immensely. 🙏

On a more positive note and in reference to people like you and I whereby less is more when it comes to not ordering options on these cool cars I will suggest that of the ~7% of the HEP R's that were built at the FRAP without the Technology Package you may have the very last Non Technology Package HEP R of the 280 cars built (~20) which in my opinion is pretty cool. :like::like:

Thanks again for allowing me to be part of your very interesting and exciting journey and can't wait until you provide us with some feedback especially when it comes to shifting LR268 at ~8,000 RPM on a road course!!

It's 32 today in Wisconsin, but yesterday my set of PS4S tires arrived at the local Ford dealer (yes, they have the Hunter Revolution).

Tomorrow looks to be close to 50 so a drive around the neighborhood will be warranted, albeit without tags.

Hoping that the temp tags that were to be with the car arrive before Monday as that is when I have the appointment for the tire install. While there, we will also install the splitter that is still riding shotgun in the car.

My driving strategy to start.. get PS4S tires, then we are a go for any sunny day above freezing. That is until the salt hits the roads and then we are shut down until spring. I'd love to knock out the first 100 miles before that happens but we will see.

I have not started the car since Sunday. Just looked at it. Took off a couple of stickers (and promptly put then in the car's file). Took the bag of the driver seat. I'm really enjoying this. This car really does feel special and I have not even truly driven it yet!

@PP0001 YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN! You will be my first call after I break my 8000rpm cherry.

I very much appreciate you sharing your story. It is truly staggering how cancer has touched almost every family. I am sorry that your family got hit twice.

Life is short.... be responsible... but we gotta smile too, right?
VOOOOOODOOOOOO = SMILES!!!!!

Amazing story my friend.

I lost my mom to cancer a few years ago. My grandpa bought her a 1971 Mustang when she graduated high school. I was thinking about both of them when I drove my GT350 for the first time.

You nailed it when you said life is short. I can't stop smiling when I drive mine. That's what it's all about.

I’m sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing your story. I hope the car brings you many years of enjoyment. You’re not too far from me. I frequent Lake Geneva during the summer

Hope to see you out and about. Will take the HEP R to some local car shows next summer I'm sure.

Just took her out for a 15 mile drive. Oh dear God it’s incredible and I didn’t even get her up over 4000 RPM.
