Changed my original post to reflect what I'm actually looking for. Apologize to those who thought I was looking for life advise or are think I am justifying buying a car based on all of your opinions. That is not at all what I'm looking for. Thanks for all the responses so far. I have the finances to buy a car but I was going to start shopping after tax season. I thought I found one for a great deal and wanted opinions if I should jump on it. I CAN AFFORD IT now and after tax season. Thanks again.

If you're just looking for opinion on the car rather than life advice, you've come to the right place. I've got plenty of opinions, but very little meaningful advice. My opinion is to avoid it unless you can get the warranty extended 2-3 years. Needs rear tires and has rashed wheels sounds like it was beat on.
Agreed. I’m gonna pass and wait for something better to come along.

Just to note, a 2016+ is worth it over a 2015 simply for Sync 3 if you were looking at ones with the 8" infotainment screen. Something to consider. :)

Finding a good well maintained and cared for performance car is definitely not easy and you must have patience but it is possible. Like others have said, sometimes it’s actually financially better to buy new with the incentives and deep discounts on outgoing model years. This is a great forum and the members are happy to help if they can so with that being said maybe you should ask if anyone on here knows of any quality cars available that they know of ( new or used). .... and you may have to travel a bit but sometimes it’s a fun journey. Be patient, don’t give up and find what you want that fits your budget. Good luck and I hope you find that one :like:

I’ve thought of this and agree 100%. I will narrowing my search to 2016 and up.

Thank you, it’s definitely tough to find one that hasn’t been lambasted.

Found a 2015 premium performance pack. Car has 47k miles on it and I can get it for 22k. I checked it out and it looks great, drives great. Only thing it needs are rear tires and two wheels a little bit of rash. What are your opinions on used 2015 mustangs and does that price seem like something I should "jump on" Thanks in advance for opinions.

Can someone edit threat title to "buy" not "but" lol sorry.

The price is about right for private party. Do you really need the premium? why not a base GT ..only diff is leather and navigation, different rear valance.

Your interest rate is not bad..it will get better as you go and keep paying but if you get a new 18 or 19 you could probably stretch out loan longer at lower rate.

The tires worry me and mileage.

Check this one out below before you buy.

You can definitely do better with a bit of patience. I just did a quick look on kijiji in my area. Keep in mind that this is Canadian dollars and kilometers. The 2015 Boss has 39500km’s. The 2015 Premium has 50000km’s. The 2017 Premium vert has 12200km’s.

When I was looking for my Mustang I wanted one with very low mileage. I ended up getting a cpo 15 GT premium with 6k miles for $26.7k. I think the warranty would go a long way toward alleviating any worry of buying used. Also, dont worry too much about the interest rate when you first get the loan, so long as you are comfortably able to pay it. Mine was 11% when I got it in March, and I have already refinanced it, twice, down to 4%.

I bought a used possible rental fleet GT with 19k miles. Was probably beat on but it runs smooth. Nothing wrong with used, but dont buy one of these if the first thing that comes to mind during contemplation is your finances.

There's nothing on the road which handles and drives like a rental car

DAMN
Picked up my used 17' with a 2.9% used loan at the credit union. Granted I paid half the car in cash... but 11% holy crap you got ripped off.

You’ve already made your decision not to buy but here are some things to consider. Not all used muscle cars are thrashed on. On the road I see more Prius drivers driving their cars like idiots and muscle cars being driven as if it’s grandma going to church. Not every Mustang driver is a racer either. If the car you want is in good shape and runs right, and is the right price, go for it. Just make sure it has a warranty for peace of mind
