Been done before? Do tell.
Pretty much all of the 37 2015 GT350R's were dealt with the same way along with ~50% of the 100 2015 GT350 Track Pack and Tech Pack cars.

In addition many 2016 GT350R models were also allocated under this same process.

Oh god god,,,, where to start. If you don't want to or didn't want to pay an ADM,,,,,, DONT ! Call around find a MSRP or don't buy the car! Yes I paid an ADM, and could care less about it now. If you choose not to I don't care as you should not care if I or others did.
I put this as an example; I really wanted to go to game 4 of the World Series. I even went to Wriggly Field with my 2 boys in hopes to get tickets,,,,, they were $1500+. Too much for me, should I get pissed off at the Cubs? Or how about the guy selling them ? NO it's a supply and demand thing and we delt with it found a bar and watched it on tv and had a great time!! If you don't like the ADM, they make a lot of other brands and makes of cars out there to choose from.

Dealer markup is bullshit and always will be. quite honestly if the dealers sold them at msrp they would sell even more GT350s and Focus RS's ect. ect. in turn Ford not allowing it helps the buyer because alot of these models after the dealer markup are out of reach for some potential buyers.

You're right and Ford should demand every vehicle they make be sold at MSRP. So all those F150's and Explorers ext,,,, that are being sold at or sometimes below invoice should be gone too, only MSRP! Just because someone makes something doesn't mean everyone can afford it. That's just life.
At what point did we become such an entitlement society?
"If I want it I should be able to have it"!!

If the dealers weren't moving them their be no ADM's. Obviously they aren't having a problem with it.

So why don't you blame the numerous people here who paid ADM? Some of the blame has to be on them since they paid it. I don't like ADM but when the cars are in such high demand its going to happen. That's how the world works.

If you bought an R for MSRP and someone wanted to buy it from you for 10k over, would you say no and sell it without markup? Or would you take the 10k and stick it in the bank? Same thing for the dealers. I don't agree with it but when people pay it, it would be stupid to turn away the easy extra money.

OR . . . the ADM's have kept the value up for everybody who bought a car. That's why there are numerous stories of people getting sometimes more than they paid on a trade in, breaking even, losing a couple of hundred bucks. If anything, this is helping the car not take a hit for 2-3 years. Same as the Boss 302, but probably a quite bit stronger in my opinion.

It's a double edged sword that has been sharpened more than a billion times on this here website.

Never thought about it like that. Just another example of the rich staying rich, and the middle class get an extra tax.

There was somebody at my track attack who paid 10k ADM and thought they got a great deal. Not even for a first allocation car.

FWIW the new ceramic Rolex Daytona is the hottest watch on the market.

You absolutely can't get one unless you have a relationship with an AD. Not gonna happen. Not a chance. No way.

And AD's have to sell them at the cost that Rolex sets for them. They can't mark them up.

Instead, they have sold quite a few of these watches to gray dealers and they are marking them up near to 50%. Or some people with those relationships buy them, and then sell them at a large mark up and make a few bucks.

Either way, when there is a huge demand, and a limited supply most people, except for a lucky few....are going to pay a premium.

Chrysler tried to control ADM on the Hellcat cars by taking away the dealer's next allocation if they sold over MSRP. It didn't work, the dealer's could make $30k on the sale of one car verse $10k on two.

Don't forget the S in MSRP stands for Suggested.

What a stupid topic. Yea hold your breath while you wait for your refund...

BTW, If Ford is required to refund all ADMs down to the MSRP of the car....Does that mean consumers should also pay back manufacturers for any car they ever bought under MSRP?????

Interesting attitude.

I paid 15K ADM for my car. This was disclosed to me as I was looking. I knew that, and still decided to make the purchase. No one held a gun to my head to pay said ADM. I'm not sure what the issue here is.

Would I have preferred to NOT have paid the ADM? Of course. But it was my decision and my decision alone to purchase the car.

*** I haven't read this entire thread, but I will make this one comment.

No way in hell should Ford corporate or even the local dealer reimburse folks for any additional money they paid for their car.
