the MGW is the only trans mounted shifter that replaces EVERY component from oem...

the center linkage rod with our own machined delrin af pivot cup makes the shifters VERY solid and completely removes the binding we have found with the stock linkage. also the tolerances on the stock linkage are just too poor for a precision unit.

also the mounting of our shifter brace is absolutely rock solid and is designed to hold 1,000 pounds of force!!! You will not have any stress issues at all.

lastly , BMR has been working directly with MGW to create a REAL NHRA legal drive shaft safety loop that will work perfectly with the RACE SPEC so IF you need one you will have a great choice there. It is mounted to the chassis of the vehicle not the transmission the way it should be.

the loop is only 115.00 they are taking initial orders now.

Also...stay tuned we have some GREAT options and new features coming out this fall for the race spec. All will be retrofittable to any race spec.

And as far as using the stock knob and having those options you absolutely can use your em knob with the MGW...watch this

LOL I don't understand how the small amount of vibration is such a problem. I like to feel my car, feel the transmission. We have Mustangs dam it, not Toyotas. I will be removing my blowfish soon, for one of these professional grade shifters. Don't detach yourself from the car be one with it. It's like saying I want a supercharger but I can't stand the whining sound. This is the smoothest V8 car I have ever drove in my life. Before I got my x pipe and Roush AB, their was times I couldn't even tell if the car was on, that's scary.

It's not so much the vibration but any noise the vibration causes. If I knew my rattling loud shifter added 300HP I'm sure I would love the sound of it. Lol
However, if there are companies out there looking to improve our already awesome cars then we are here to keep them in business.

I had the blowfish and replaced everything with the MGW shifter. It was one of the best upgrades that I have done.

I just watched that video and love the adapter that allows you to reuse the stock knob. I've been debating between the Barton and MGW shifters for a while now and can't seem to make a decision. I like how Barton allows you to keep the stock reverse lock out but I wouldn't mind a push down lock out either. However, on the video you posted, it seemed as though the shift pattern (primarily where reverse is located) was different from stock. Is this correct or am I mistaken? It looked as though you pushed the shifter down (which is fine, I realize the lock out is push down instead of pull up) and then went over to the right and down instead of to the left and up. Does your short throw shifter change the location of reverse?
